After its summer break, Wednesday wildlife is back with a selection of images from site director Nick Card.

For new readers, the Ness of Brodgar is renowned for its wildlife as much as its archaeology. And when he’s not got his head down pondering Neolithic structures and artefacts, Nick is often out photographing the fauna living around the excavation site.
