Time Team geophysicist hails Ness discovery the highlight of his career

Geophysicist John Gater describes the discovery of the Ness of Brodgar as “the main highlight of his career” in the new edition of Time Team‘s monthly online news.

John, who was on site in August, is an old friend of site director Nick and was responsible for the initial phase of the geophysical surveys of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage site which detected the presence of a large prehistoric complex on the Ness.
