Structure Five updated and introducing its predecessor – Structure Forty-One!
We’re reaching the end of the structure updates following the 2024 excavation season. Today it’s Structure Five, which, dating from c3300BC, was our earliest excavated building.
But as regular readers will know, we’ve got evidence of activity from at least 3500BC and we’d long suspected that Five was built on the footprint of an earlier timber building. Work in 2024 added enough to the evidence that this building was given a name, Structure Forty-One.
