In association with Orkney Tweed, the Ness “Tam o Brodgar” knitting patterns are now available as a downloadable PDF file.
The inspiration for the hat’s pattern is the decoration on pottery and incised stones from the Ness. The colours of Orkney Tweed’s wool are those of the stone and pottery of Neolithic Orkney.
Proceeds from the sale of the pattern, go directly to Ness of Brodgar excavation funds.
