Description
Wednesday, August 7, 2013, was a special day in the history of the Ness of Brodgar excavation. That was the day we found the only example of a carved stone ball from the Ness to date.
And now, to raise much-needed funds for the excavation, we are selling carefully crafted replicas online, which we hope you will enjoy holding while pondering the meaning of these enigmatic objects.
The life-size replicas are plaster mould reproductions made for us, in small numbers, by Orkney potter Robin Palmer.
