In association with Orkney Tweed, the Ness of Brodgar mitts knitting pattern is now available as a downloadable PDF file.
Like the Tam o’ Brodgar hat, the inspiration for the pattern is the decoration on pottery and incised stones from the Ness. The colours of Orkney Tweed’s wool are those of the stone and pottery of Neolithic Orkney.
Proceeds from the sale of the pattern go directly to Ness of Brodgar excavation funds.
