The second season of the Stone Me podcast got under way today with host Matthew Magee’s visit to the Ness of Brodgar dig site in the final days of the season.

The podcast investigates Scotland’s oldest places and to create the series Matthew got on his bike and travelled around the country, visiting sites and talking to the archaeologists and experts involved.

Describing his time at the Ness, he said: “It was incredibly moving to be at the site in its last days, and to be able to get down amongst the buildings before they were covered up.”

The first Stone Me episode featuring the Ness is available here.
