Ness monograph sets ‘a high standard’ says reviewer
The latest glowing review of the the Ness of Brodgar interim monograph has been posted to the Prehistoric Society website this morning.
The review, by Susan Greaney of Cardiff University/English Heritage, concludes: “This superbly produced book, which any archaeologist should be proud to have on their bookcase or coffee table, stands as a testament to the hard-work and dedication of the core archaeological team, as well as the hundreds of volunteers and students who have contributed to the study of this astonishing place.”
The reviewer adds: “The volume has set a high standard for the publication of archaeological research in a scholarly, accessible, and timely manner. Bravo!”

The Ness of Brodgar: As it Stands was published in November 2020. The first print run of 1,000 copies run sold out in January 2021 but a second batch arrived earlier this month.
