Latest 3d model shows all the Great Wall’s newly excavated section

Earlier in the season, Trench J’s supervisor, Paul Durdin, created a 3d model of the outer face of the northern boundary wall – the so-called “Great Wall of Brodgar”.

Well, he’s done it again. This time it’s a larger model showing the entirety of the newly excavated wall section, including the steps built into the inner face.

Also visible is the wall core supporting the faces and made up of suitably massive boulders.
