Day Ten

A very special visitor to site today was three-month-old Caitlyn, seen here with her mum, Sarah, a Ness veteran and Structure Ten supervisor.

Special visitor among the hundreds at first open day of the season

Despite the forecast rain, which held off until the afternoon, over 700 visitors attended our first open day of the 2018 season. 

Huge thanks to all who contributed their time and amazing efforts to make it such a success, both on site and at the Stenness School – and to the hundreds who came through the gate.

Although digging continued on site, we’ve been too busy today to put together a full diary entry, so here are a few images to give you a taster of the event (click on any picture for a larger version).
