New book completes Neolithic trilogy

Our own Mark Edmonds has recently completed the third in a trilogy of books with photographer Rebecca Marr.
Midhowe focuses on the stalled chambered cairn in Rousay and imagines how the building and use of the structure allowed people to “reconcile the brief candle of their lives with the past, and with the complex spiritual and political worlds in which they lived”.
Combining prose, poetry and photographs, the three titles explore aspects of the Orcadian Neolithic. Information on the three – After Orcadia, Hand Held and Midhowe – can be found here.
