Diary extra – 3d model of Structure Five’s hearth and underlying channel
Trench J supervisor Paul’s 3d model of the hearth/channel in Structure Five.
When the flagstone base was lifted from the hearth, a carefully constructed stone-lined channel was revealed. It enters the hearth from upslope to the south-west, runs across the full length of the feature, before exiting diagonally to the north-east.
Where it goes after that has yet to be determined!
