To mark this year’s final season of Ness of Brodgar fieldwork we produced a special commemorative t-shirt.

Over the summer, on the few occasions that the sun put in an appearance, the distinctive shirts could be seen everywhere. Not just on site – sported by digger and visitor alike – but also across Orkney. Our last batch sold out at the site shop during the dig season, but if you missed out, fear not – we’ve got some more and they’re now available to buy online.

Commemorative T-shirt — T-shirt design – front and back.

Made from heavy cotton, the t-shirts come in three colours – black, navy and dark green – with designs by Sigurd on front and back.

The inspiration for the front was the glorious Neolithic art incised on the huge decorated stone deposited under one of Structure Ten’s internal buttresses. The back panel outlines some key moments in site’s discovery and 20-year excavation history.

So, if you want to wear your heart on your sleeve, so to speak, get yours now before they’re all gone, and help support the Ness. All proceeds go straight into project funds.
